Day 1- 02 Aug 2010, Singapore - Nanjing

Day 1- 02 Aug 2010, Singapore - Nanjing

This was the Butterfly Garden at Changi Airport. On the way to the gate, we stopped by to take a look at the butterfly. Changi Airport is no doubt one of the few airports in the world that can keep you "entertained". The next time your flight is delayed, count yourself lucky.

This was our boarding gate out of Singapore to paradise in Korea/China! Terminal 3 Gate B3 China Eastern Arilines MU772 @ 1705 hours

Three happy people waiting to board the plane.

This was our plane, a mini A319 which was...

...completely dwarfed by this A380 .

Acceptable legroom.

Taxing towards the runway

Video of our plane taking off

Can you spot our Singapore river, the Marina Barrage, Marina Sands? And look at how busy the Straits of Singapore is. We are a busy port!

Nevertheless, we are still so small. A puny little city state and soon we are out of Singapore skies into Malaysia

I don't know why but I always find inflight catering very delicious. Served onboard was beehoon with chicken, prawn salad, fruits and a nice warm bread. Yummy!

"China Eastern Airlines is proud to be the official airlines of the 2010 Shanghai Expo. Better City, Better Life." I heard this repeatedly on all of my 4 China Eastern Airlines flight during my holiday.

Before arriving in China, don't forget to feel in your arrival immigrantion card and...

...the departure immigration card.

On long flights, China Eastern Airlines offers videos on doing some simple inflight exercise and it was amusing to see almost everyone on the plane doing it.

Like this!

Waiting to clear immigration.

Welcome to Nanjing!

Look at how that guy is sleeping!

Guess what I saw? Oh yeah oh yeah oh yeah HEY! Oh yeah oh yeah oh yeah HO! Yes Nanjing is proud to be the 2nd organiser of the Youth Olympics Games which was a... No comments in case I get caught. Come on! "Embrace" the YOG spirit. Sing along with me. "Oh yeah oh yeah oh yeah HEY! Oh yeah oh yeah oh yeah HO!"

Shagged faces posed for a last photo before sleeping throughout the journey to the hotel.

Journey towards the hotel. I wanted to take a nice picture of the Nanjing highway but the bus was travelling so fast. The road was very wide and brightly lighted up.

Waiting to check in and make a mad dash to our room to sleep.

This was our room at Nanjing York Hotel. Good night! Hello Seoul tomorrow!

My first ever post

My friends had started blogging since secondary school but somehow I had never acquired the habit of blogging.

However recently, the travel bug had bitten me and for the first time in my life, just in the year of 2010, I had been to Malaysia, Thailand, Korea and China. I like my home, although many times I hate it. Nevertheless, I feel that this home is too small to contain me and I would like to see the beautiful world out there as much as I can.

Hence I have decided to record details of my travel in this blog to share with you people the world in my prespective.

Enjoy!
